Showcasing the primitive skills of
atlatl, archery and flint knapping
June 16, 2001; Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm
June 17, 2001; Sunday, 10 am - 3 pm
Flint knappers will demonstrate their craft and have items
for sale.
Try throwing the Atlatl. Instructors will have throwing sticks and darts for you to
try. A practice range will be setup.
Learn about primitive archery. Craftsmen will show you how it's done. Atlatl and
primitive archery crafts will be available for sale.
A range for atlatl throwing and primitive archery will be available for a fee. Bows
can only be made of wood, sinew or horn, or composite. Arrows made of wood.
Fiberglass or aluminum not permitted.
Auction on Saturday at 3 p.m. Bid on finely crafted item. |

The public is invited. Bring the family, enjoy the
demonstrations and try you arm at atlatl throwing. Hike Camp Tuscazoar's trails.
Cost is $5 per car. A concession stand will also be
open.
